PANE IN THE GLASS PRODUCTIONS

 YOUR UNCONDITIONAL LOVE

Your unconditional love has strings attached,
Invisible though they may be.
It’s no longer, “I love you as you are”;
But I’m the same as always, can’t you see.

You once said, “Don’t you ever change.”
Now nothing I do is right.
It sure makes a difference to me;
Now all we ever seem to do is fight.

I’m not a child in disguise,
Who needs your guiding hand;
And I’m not a little puppy dog,
You’d tell just where to stand.

So don’t you try to take advantage
Just because I’m being me.
I’ll never want to be like you.
Why don’t you just let me be?

Will you never understand it?
I know you love my heart,
So let’s get back to lovin’,
Like we had right from the start.
